Emergency Helpline 1813

The Emergency Helpline 1813 takes calls from residents in the Capital Region who need medical assistance when their own GP is closed.

When can you call the Emergency Helpline 1813?

Your doctor accepts emergency calls on weekdays from 8 A.M.-4 P.M., even outside the clinic's regular telephone hours.

If you require urgent medical assistance outside your doctor's opening hours or for injuries around the clock, you can call 1813.

When you call 1813:

Your call will be handled by experienced nursing professionals. Nurses will evaluate your need for help and provide advice, with doctor consultation available if needed. If you need to be seen by a doctor, you'll be referred to a location where you can be examined, treated and receive guidance, such as an emergency department or an after-hours medical service (lægevagt).

The medical staff may also assess that your condition is acutely urgent and refer you to 1-1-2, or determine it's non-urgent and ask you to contact your GP when they reopen.
